How to store a carburetor.

Postby JSinclair » Sat Sep 07, 2013 8:57 am

Hello all, I recently replaced my original IH carburetor with a new one from Steiner tractor parts, and I since I recently rebuilt the original, I wanted to store it. What would be the best way to do it?

If you had gasoline in the rebuilt carb, remove top and blow out all passages. Carb clean and dry, you can just set on the shelf in a dry area. Or place in a plastic coffee container with sealable lid.
I have an excuse. CRS.

When I send a carb back after rebuilding I always remove the bottom drain plug and squirt a liberal amount of carb cleaner in it. Shake and empty.
