FF-1314-2 for the upper bushing
AA-1214-3 for the lower bushing
TT-1900 for the thrust washer, it may be an "I" instead of a "1" but I think it is a 1, it is a little smeared on the paper.

These are all Oilite 841 oil-impregnated sintered bronze.

Bob
Thanks for starting the search for the steering bushings. I will place an order for all 3 bushings from Motion Industries. If they all appear satisfactory after installation, I will place a second order for inventory. You never know if they will stop making them.

Harlan, double check the # for the thrust washer. I think it should be TT-1800. That one has an ID of 1.145 while the TT-1900 has an ID of 1.389 (needs to fit a 1 1/8" shaft which would be 1.125). Criswell said the printing was smeared and I am guessing that the "8" looked like a "9". It looks like the OD of the flange and OD of the thrust washer are smalled than OEM, but because of the way things fit together, I don't think that will matter. If you don't have it back together before the Bash, I'd like to compare the repro and originals.

Thanks, Bob

Bob
I checked the TT-1880 bushing in the catalog and it appears to be closer to the size required. I checked on the shipping and it will be $9.89 whether I order 1 or 2 sets of the bushings so I will ordered 2 of each next week. I will let you know how they fit and bring the extra set to the Bash if you want to compare them to the originals.

I see I'm a little late to this but I was the one who wanted to have some made. I put the project aside, but I'm still interested in either doing that or buying several from someone else who makes them. I do have the AutoCAD drawings that Russ Leggit drew up for me if anyone is interested so they can make some. I will have to see if I can find the files. Did anyone check the fitment and quality of the other bushings yall found ?

The Case IH price on those bushings are very high so searching this site I used the Oil lite part numbers and found them at BronzeBushings.com. Still waiting for them to verify they are good. Prices were unbelievable:

Lower bushing FF-1314-2 (1.125 ID x 1.750 flange OD X 1.0 OAL) $3.90 each!

Upper bushing AA-1214-3 (1.125 ID x 1.25 OD X 1.0 OAL) $1.17!

Shipping for 2 each cost almost as much. It pays to shop around when prices are way put of line. Sometimes there is no choice, but not this time. We need a link on this site to alternative parts suppliers for parts like this.

You can thank the current administration in DC for the high shipping costs :( Anyway please let us know if these bushings work out, I need some also. Now if I could just get the specs on the bushings for a 54A grader blade setup and anyother bushings on the cub.....

I compared the original lower bushing to the FF-1314-2 (1.125 ID x 1.750 flange OD X 1.0 OAL). The original part has a 2.000" flange diameter vs. 1.750" for FF-1314-2. The steering gear sits on this with no real load so I don't see the smaller flange OD preventing it from working. $76 vs. $3.90 it's worth the risk. They don't show one with 2" flange.

What about the thrust washer? Have you found a replacement for that part? I guess with all of the savings on the other two it doesn't matter as much.

The thrust washer is discussed about 4 or 5 posts up.

For some reason, the AA-1214-3 bushing doesn't show up on their website. I have found the others though. Is there a difference between the "-3" and the others?

I've noticed that the prices are about double from what you others have posted/paid.

I would stick with bronzebushings.com their prices are better:

AA-1214-3 http://www.bronzebushings.com/root-catalog/default-category/aa-1214-3-sae841-sleeve-1-1-8-id-x-1-1-4-od-x-1-oal.html $1.17

FF-1314-2 http://www.bronzebushings.com/ff-1314-2-1-1-8-id-x-1-3-8-od-x-1-oal-x-1-3-4-flod-x-1-8-flth.html $3.90

Now if only they had the thrust washers

FYI.....I called Motion Industries for the Thrust Washer, and I thought I would just pick them up to save on shipping since there is a local store to me. I gave the store clerk the part number and found out that they only quoted me $1.19 each for the thrust washers compared to the price on their website of $5.66. He said the website prices are their "national sales price" and if you call your local branch, the prices will be much better.

JUST AN FYI

To me that is Soooooooooooooooooooo Stupid to have your web site prices higher then your store prices as most would move on to find better pricing. Turns out Motion has a store within 50 miles of where I am, but is it worth it?
