Bolt size on drive train?

Postby dontknowwhatimdoing » Thu Jun 05, 2014 5:06 pm

Bumped left fender with my left hand while mowing today. The fender moved. Found out I'm missing 3 of the 4 bolts holding the fender on and the drive train together. I stopped immediately. Could anyone tell me the size of bolt I should use to put this back together? I'm to scared to take the last one out, to take to the hardware store.
Thanks in advance.

3/8-16 x 1 5/8" for the left-hand side and 3/8-16 x 2" for the right-hand side. Use lockwashers with each bolt and torque to 35ft/lbs.
Where you are, right now, is of absolutly no use unless you are able to get away from it, FAST!

make sure the bolts holes on the left side are not stripped out, also make sure it has the dowel pins in the housing , ck for cracks in the final drive also, when they get loose that is when the trouble starts

The final drive housing is held by a total of 6 bolts. Along with the 4 through the fender, there are 2 more near the bottom. Make sure they are in place too.
