Send in the auctioneer!

Postby Dusty B » Sat Jul 05, 2014 8:23 am

Good news-bad news! Good news, when we have our annual 4th of July gathering it forces me to clear out the shed and reorganize! Bad news, it lets Janas see just how many tractors I have actually accumulated !! LOL !! Did hide one tractor by taking it to the local parade. Got to downsize tho. Hope everyone had a good 4th - this was our last 4-B event (time to get out of the rut after 12 years!).

Dusty, Years ago, Roger Welch firmly stated in one of his books that you NEVER line up all your tractors where your wife can see them. I guess it's too late for you. :D

Sorry to hear you're selling some Cubs, but understand. Also wouldn't call the auctioneer before trying to sell them outright. An auction is such a crap-shoot. And when they say "Sold!" it's gone...for whatever price it is. :?

Hope you had a happy 4th as well, friend. I really like your sign in the manure spreader. May I borrow that idea sometime?

Feel free! My step-sister had 3 fellows from Canada who were cruising Route 66 stop and declare "We need that in Canada!" ??!! Got lots of "thumbs up" and applause along the parade route! (and a few younger people didn't know what the spreader actually was!).

I think auctioneer was said tongue-in-cheek, or at least I hope so!

Otherwise Dennis will have to relocate this thread to the vine and give Dusty a thorough lashing with a willow switch.
