Pressure plate material

I can't find any reference to the minimum thickness of the material on the plate in the service manual. There is almost 1/4" of material measured front to back (both sides) and it looks like new. What bothers me is the rivets aren't recessed very much, about 1/16".
I was talking with Glen about this and told me the rivets aren't set very deep when they are new and suggested that I post some pictures, which I have attached but they don't show much.

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Larry

What is the condition of the fly wheel and pressure plate?

The blue color of the metal in the clutch disk has me a bit concerned.
I have an excuse. CRS.

1/16" above the rivet head is plenty and should last a long time. Yes, many new discs are blue colored. I think it looks good.

The blue color is probably the result of the heat treating process of the spring steel. I used to be a heat treating operator in a steel factory years ago and that is how the steel came out after going through the acid and lead baths.

Great news. From the condition of the rest of the parts I'm inclined to believe that somebody did a total rebuild of the entire clutch assembly.

Thanks for the help.

I will agree with the others, that disk has a lot of use on it, looks almost new. One note, the pressure plate is the one with the springs and fingers, that part is mostly referred to as the clutch disk or friction disk.
