Woods deck PTO pulley

This may be a silly question but how do you remove a Woods pulley??? What holds it on?? I took the two screws out but I serious doubt that holds it on! HELP!!!

The Woods pulley has a tapered center. Take the 2 bolts you removed and thread them into the other 2 holes that are 90 degrees from the holes you just removed the bolts from. These holes are threaded and by tightening the 2 bolts evenly, you will push the pulley off of the tapered center. Once the pulley is off the core, the core will slide off the pto.

Wish I had come here first....I broke a piece of the pulley with a puller. :cry:

That hub and pulley are available from a Woods dealer. But the pulley and the hub are separate parts with different part numbers. The pulley itself is available from Grainger in the Browning BK series.

you could always weld that piece back on if you still have it .

Not sure.... but I think you will be shocked by the price!!! I had a difficult time getting the pulley off for the C-2, guess they tend to get stuck after a few decades.
