Aftermarket Front Grill

Postby tieman » Thu Jan 07, 2016 3:14 pm

Anyone bought a aftermarket front grill and had trouble getting it to fit any where close to right? The one I bought has a radius that's no where right and the mounting brackets barely reach the dog leg bolts. Therefore I have a least 1/2 inch gap between the grill and side panels.

Mesh grill? I heard that some of them didn't fit well. Our Asian fabricators, can't read a ruler!

I swear that someone did a How To on solving this issue, but I'll be darned if I can find it. I'll keep looking and post if I find it, unless someone beats me to it. :D

I have one of those grills on my 53. Drove me crazy trying to fit it. All 4 tabs are under a screw, just barely.

Don, the alternative isn't all that exciting, either!

Heck, I can't get the original grilles to fit without a fight.
