New ignition starter switch

Postby David Lee » Sat Oct 15, 2016 10:22 pm

I don't know if this is the correct place for this post, but I thought others might find it of interest.

Restoring a tractor can get expensive so I try and search out the best price available .
I've searched all over for this part and at most online suppliers it was $45 and up plus shipping.

I have found the part, Duralast part number DR450 at Autozone for $26.99
The part was not in the store but they got it there in 2 hours.
It appears to be the same as the old one in the 65 cub i'm working on.

Be prepared. Sometimes the button is bigger than the original switch button and it won't fit in the original hole in the dash. Good Luck, Frank

Just a bit of wisdom on 'bargain' prices. I have found CaseIH parts were pretty comparable on price for a number of items, but with that said, last time I got a PTO bearing it was from China and the same price as when they sold good ones. TM will only sell quality parts, so that is always a good place to start your quest. (It will be right or they will take care of it!)

I think the problem with size for that switch is that A. C, H, M, use the same type switch, and they require a heavier, bigger one, and since there were a lot more of them used on those tractors they make the ons for the bigger tractors and only give minor consideration to the ones on cubs.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!
