Greetings! I just bought my first cub!
Hello,
I'm so excited. I have just purchased a 1975 Cub with fast-hitch. My son and I took it over to a gravel driveway to use our landscape rake we had recently purchased for our 140. I was surprised that the cub handled it so well. I can tell this is going to be a great little tractor to haul to and from our farm land. We live in NC, in the town limits so we are keeping the cub in our garage. We keep the 140 at my wife's family farm and will use the cub on my family farm (so glad it fits on my 5.5 x 10' trailer!). I've wanted one for a while, but have been patiently waiting for a late model with fast hitch. At some point, I'd like to get the fast hitch bottom plow and a disk, and perhaps cultvators (could rob the 140 I guess). But for now, it will be doing grading duty with the scrape blade and the landscape rake. Does anyone know where I can get the proper decals for it? This tractor was recently painted (red, not yellow). Anyway, I hope to learn lots about my cub from everyone here.

Very little if any of the cultivators from a 140 will fit on a cub so I'm told.

Re: Greetings! I just bought my first cub!
Hi,
TM Tractor probably has decals for the Cub.
Below is a page of decals, the ones for the sides of the hood would be the 2nd one down the page, or the 4th one down the page, depending on the serial number of the Cub.
IH changed the Cubs some at serial number 248125, which was during 1975.
Look at the serial number plate and you can find the number yours is, and check the year it was made, if you didn't before.
I think the guys have said that there were few decals on the newer Cubs, maybe member tst or someone will write about it.

Below is the Cub owner's manual for a 1975 Cub before serial number 248125. There is a newer manual for Cubs after that serial number. The experts on here recommend people read it, it has much info about operation, maintenance, and lubrication.
They recommend checking or changing all the oils when you first buy a Cub. It is shown in the Lubrication section of the manual.
http://farmallcub.com/rudi_cub/www.clea ... index.html
This page below shows where the serial numbers are, and shows what the plate originally looked like. If the plate has been painted over by someone, it can be harder to read the number. The number should be stamped into the plate, use a light, and you can probably read it.

Here are a couple of pictures of the cub. The serial number is 246573...so how do I know which decals to put on it?
