I owe this one to my uncle. If you have a varnished glass fuel bowl on an old tractor just reach down a pick up some sand or gritty dirt and fill bowl a third full and use your finger or a stick and work the sand around in the bowl. You may have to reapply a time or two but it will clean it up free of cost. Wash and let dry.
