I'm Willy from Tennessee and I've got an older restoration Farmall Cub that I'm going to put back to work. It's been in my wife's family since new as her Grandaddy bought it new and farmed with it for decades. After he passed away about 15 years ago, Her Dad and I loaded it on a trailer and brought to his farm and after I checked it out, he had it "restored". He drove it in a couple of parades a year for a few years, then parked it in his barn.
It sat there for some years until after he passed away and I got it running again for my Mother in law. She had me park it in the farm shop and it's sat there now for about 5 years. My wife and I had talked about getting a small Kubota to do some light work around the place and then remembered the ol' Cub sitting in a corner of the shop.
I went out there late this afternoon and looked it over to see what it would need to get it going again. The battery and 3 tires were flat, but the engine turns nicely when hand cranked. I aired up the tires and pushed it back and forth a bit to make sure it would still roll. There's an inch or so of old gas in the tank that I'll have to drain out and clean out the fuel lines. It got a 12 volt conversion during the "restoration" and while I've got the battery on charge overnight, I'm not really expecting it to charge up.
I'm hoping to have it running in the next couple of days.

Welcome to the forum. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. Everyone likes to see pictures of the tractors and pictures often make it easier to answer questions. If you get it running make sure you have oil pressure after about 30 seconds. If not you may need to prime the oil pump. It can lose prime if it isn’t run for a long time.

Thanks Yall for the welcome.
Darned if that battery didn't take a charge overnight. I guess it's true that even a blind squirrel can find an acorn every now and then.
