Hello

Postby Robert Cool » Tue Aug 04, 2020 10:14 am

Just want to introduce myself my name is Robb and I am currently searching for my first cub in North Carolina. I have checked out a few but I am really trying to find one with complete implements. On that topic how hard is it to get all the parts one would need for the bottom plow? Like finding the coulter wheels , do they make new? anyway I am here to learn so hopefully next season I can take care of the garden.

Your plow question is dependent on the Cub you acquire, standard drawbar or fast hitch. Finding everything to mount either is not difficult. Standard 193 plows, for drawbar mounting are plentiful, just be sure to get the depth control with it. Fast hitch plows are around but are often missing the coulter. expect to pay as much for the coulter as the plow. North Carolina is a good place to be looking for one.

When you speak depth control would that be the handle on the right rear fender?

Yes. The handle, quadrant, and link from it to the drawbar is an assembly that often gets separated from the rest of the plow. As mentioned for the Fast-Hitch style coulter, the depth control often brings as much or more than a plow beam and bottom without the depth control.

I am sure the tractor I am looking at only has cultivators complete, the disc plow and mower are both missing parts, is there a way to identify the 152 disc plow?
