New here
Hi, I just bought my first Farmall! It's a cub with cultivators that I'm planning to use to grow some potatoes. Not sure what year it is because the tag on the pump is missing. It needs some love. I ordered a carb rebuild kit and tuneup parts. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions for you all once I get it running and figure out what else is wrong with it

Re: New here
Welcome to the forum. Assuming you have a FCub or International Cub, Look for the SN on a tag at the steering gear housing at the lower end of the steering shaft or collect some of the casting codes on the major castings and it will help you ID the age of the Cub. One more post and you can access the manuals at the Quick links tab (upper left corner of this page). Pictures also help ID the age of the tractor. Click in the picture to make it larger. Stan

This post from TM Tractor parts (a great source for parts for your new-to-you cub and a forum sponsor) should guide you in determining the year of your Cub:

Re: New here
Welcome to the forum Neversink.
Had to check out your zip code to confirm that you're in the vicinity of the Neversink Reservoir and Neversink River.
My Dad spent 5 years underground back in the 1950's working on the New York City Water Supply Tunnels. I was born in Liberty, but we lived in Grahamsville until 1960.
You are about 2 hours from Cecil's CubFest Northeast in Oxford, NY. in early October.

When I saw Neversink it was an easy guess that you live in Sullivan County. I grew up in Liberty N.Y. and have been in AZ for 47 years and still have a 57 LoBoy which was purchased in 1968. My brother lives in Woodridge. Small world?

Wm
Wm,
Small indeed!
I was born in 1959 at what was Liberty Loomis Hospital, one of many buildings on the campus of what was once a Tuberculosis Sanitarium.
Still have the handwritten hospital bill!

Re: New here
Thanks all for the warm welcome! I'm hopefully going to get to work on this cub this weekend.
I love how many current and previous neighbors I've found on here! I suspect I'm in good companion this board.
