New gearshift lever

Postby Bill Hudson » Fri May 26, 2017 9:04 pm

This is a project that has been on a back burner (way back) for a while. I once had a Cub with a modified gearshift lever that was a bit longer than normal and I liked it a lot and vowed to make something similar. So here goes:
Get one of Cub Cadet levers with two bends in it
    Disassemble as needed
Fire up the acetylene torch and heat the bends to straighten them out
    Prepare and paint

The result is to go from this:

To this:

This might be a bit longer than needed and I may cut a couple of inches off, however, I'm happy to have the longer gearshift lever. The second one will be completed soon.
