We just had or first tractor delivered last week and it is a 1947 Farmall A that was a barn find. We don't know anything about its previous life beside being told it had been sitting in a barn for 6-7 years before being pulled out and sold. Looks like it was pretty well cared for before being parked.
I would love to hear any tips or tricks for first time owners. I look forward to continuing to browse here and learn as well.

Re: New A Owner
Good, honest looking A. What's the serial number? Curious how far it is from the end, because I'm kind of a nerd about such things!

Re: New A Owner
Serial number on the tag is FAA184691. Is there a way to learn anything more off it besides year?

Re: New A Owner
Since it is before number 200001, it was built at Tractor Works in Chicago. Anything after 200001 was built at Louisville.
