Woods L59 restoration conundrum

Postby ShawnAgne » Sun Oct 17, 2021 6:39 pm

Ok, haven't messed with the mower deck yet because its October and Ohio and won't need it till April. I got the decals from Tim Taluer for it, but here is the issue I'm having. The original colors were the yellow and cream/tan colors which I was intending and may do. However There is a post I saw which shows a Super A, and it looks like the Woods deck is done in IH white. I know this isn't correct BUT looks SO MUCH nicer. I don't like the yellow/tan combos of woods, but that is what is correct.

SO I'm not sure what to do, restore/paint it to what is correct. Or restore/paint it to what looks better.

Thoughts?

If you are doing a trailer queen full restoration (back to original) then paint it the original colors.
If you are fixing it up to use and help extend the life of the mower deck, then paint it whatever color you want.

Mower will be used and either way it will be blasted down before being repainted. Have a while to decide. Thanks for replies.
