Super A Factory Question

Postby SFXXIV » Sat Jun 17, 2023 9:22 pm

New to the forum and in the very beginning stages of restoring '51 Super A. The question I have is it possible to tell from the serial number which factory manufactured the tractor?

Welcome to the Forum. There's a list of manuals located at the Quick links tab (top left corner of this page) that should be helpful. Open the link, scroll down to pdf manuals and select the Super A folder, then select what interests you. Good luck with your project. Stan

I believe all Suer A's were made in Louisville.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

All Super As were built at Louisville. You can determine what month your tractor was built here: https://content.wisconsinhistory.org/di ... c/id/2126/

You might find the SN list showing the year built helpful. Stan

Thanks Al, that was awesome. Got a Feb 1951 SA sitting in the garage. Any records you know of showing which dealership received which tractor. I know that's probably a Longshot, but just trying to get as much history on it to start. Thanks again!

If those records existed, they were most likely destroyed during the merger.
