You’re referring to the flexible clevis right ?
I have 2 for a Cub but I haven’t tried using it on a the SA A60 setup. I’ll try but if it doesn’t fit it’s easy enough to replicate a larger version.

Yes Mike, I was referring to the flexible clevis. I do have it on my Super A. I plow asphalt, gravel and for snow storage have to pile snow on a grassy area. My experience is that even with the flexible clevis to allow the plow to ride up I need the fisher style shoes on the ends of the plow. I plow the asphalt with the adjustable washers on the top of the mounting bracket and move them to under the bracket to avoid digging into the gravel or the lawn. So I initially plow the asphalt, move the washers and finish the job on the gravel and grassy areas with the shoes preventing the plow from digging in.

I went with the western style mushroom pads and have the washers to adjust depth with also.
You can see them in this photo…

I fabricated the mount from angle iron and black pipe…

Based on favorable online reviews I purchased one of the urethane wear edges for the super A plow and need to install it. We will see if that helps with the digging in.

The other option is to buy a rubber stall mat you can cut into strips to use as your cutting edge.

I would think that the rubber mat that gets cut up would need to be pretty stiff.

I’m not the one who thought of it first. Guys here have been using them on their cubs for decades

Ok we did have a about 4-5” of snow and while that’s not much it gave me an idea of how well the plow with power angle was going to work and I am thrilled with it !
I did agree and see the need for a flexible clevis though but did not want to lose the clearance under the blade under full lift when traveling. A clevis as designed by IH will lose a couple inches of lift height so I modified their design slightly when designing mine.
This is a factory designed clevis in the raised position…
Image

This is mine in the raised position.
I left the top forward corners square instead of rounding them off. I also tightened the front gaps so that the corners bind against the lift arms which would not permit the blade to drop below where it would if it were hooked up without the clevis.
You might note mine is a bit beefier that the factory clevis made from 1/2” x 2” bar stock.
I work with material at hand ;)

The next photo has it lowered and shows the potential for the blade to freely lift and glide over irregularities.

Here is a video showing it in action. This is all before final finish and paint. It’s hanging in the basement drying with a second and final coat of Farmall red.

Thank you to everyone for your input.

Thanks Rick .
Had a thought, if I do find the need for more give in the lift I have two A60 spring lift rod assemblies I could swap in.
They both need a little love though.
One of those is on an A60 assembly I bought this past fall from a fellow that had it listed as a Cub blade. The mount is bent pretty good but between the press and a torch I think I can save it. It has original paint and even the decals still on it.
Because the mount was bent I paid $150 for it. :)

Here it is all painted and assembled.
Red grease on all the pivot and wear points.
These pics were taken with the blade raised.
