When I got my super A the tractor would not roll unless the clutch was pushed in. I figured it was just locked up gears. I had taken the shifter off and moved the gears around and it rolled great. Now Im putting it back together and it wont roll again. If you put the shifter on and move it around like neutal and then lift it straight up the gears line up like its in reverse. What could be wrong. Are the shift forks not lined up?
thanks
Josh

Re: Super A shifter
Sounds like you missed with the reverse shifter fork when you reinstalled the cover. Getting the forks all engaged when installing the cover is a little trickier on the Super A than it is the Cub. You need to get the 1-2 and 3-4 sliders centered in their travel in neutral. The reverse slider needs to be moved completely to the neutral end of its travel. Make sure the forks are all in neutral on the cover then carefully lower it STRAIGHT down into position. After you stick a couple bolts in, shift it through all gears to make sure it feels right. The lever must be able to move the full distance into each gear, otherwise you have to start over.
