Went to an auction today and saw two CUB's for sale, one was a 1960 Lo Boy (I think correct year) that had a butchered hood from a 12 volt conversion; welded bolster; and straight stack added which sold for $900.00. The other was probably a 1948 CUB with manual lift; welded engine block at the usual location; odd front tire; a welded to the axle bumper; and it brought almost $800.00 ! Yet; a beautiful condition Farmall 100 with cultivators and good running condition only brought $900.00 ! Go Figure !!!!
I picked up a bunch of CUB odds and ends parts cheap; and finally found a trailer that was just the right size so I can haul my CUB's around.

You should have bought that 100 and took it home on that trailer.

That was an extremely good deal on the Farmall 100. I wish I had been there. I have been looking for a good 100. I went to an auction in northeastern Indiana yesterday. There was a 1956 Cub there with an unusual belly mower. It brought close to $1500 including the 10% premium.

WOW! What did that 40's model jacked up Chevy bring? I like that...definitely something you don't usually see.

Re: CUB's at an Ohio auction
That's the auction ! Most of the cars and trucks wouldn't start, or had no engine, so the price was cheap ! I can send photos of the Farmall 100 if interested, just can't seem to post any.
