Gave the tractor another pressure wash to clean up all of the hydraulic oil. My Steiner order came in that had the new radiator hoses, so I pull the Rad to make it easier. Found a pile of rust on top of the thermostat and got that cleaned out. Put the hoses on and installed the rad and sheet metal. I think its ready to go to the tractor show which starts Wednesday and features Farmall tractors. I think my brother and his grandson are taking the Farmall H and Super C.

Looks good! We have a 230, my dad's first tractor he bought used in the early 60s. They are nimble and have lots of power for their size!

Epoxy primed the rear wheels yesterday and picked up the new tires and tubes today. OUCH!!!! I think I need to start a Go-Fund-me page.

Sprayed the rear wheels. By the time I cleaned up my gun the paint was just about tack free. The can says 60 to 90 min. until dry to the touch. I put a little hardener in this also.

One brake on the 230 would sort of work and the other had nothing when you pushed on the pedal. Opened up the brakes up to determine just what I need to fix them. On the non-working side, it became apparent as soon as we opened it up. All of the linings on both brake disc had sheared off the rivets and were loose inside with one broken into small pieces laying in the bottom of the brake housing. Everything was covered in gear lube also, so I need to put seals in it along with new discs, return springs, and actuator springs.

Installed a new steering wheel, pre-cleaner bowl, and a shifter boot on the 230. I have a new water temp gauge and front main seal that I will install later. Ordered all of the brake parts for the Super C and 230.

Mounted up the new front tires and put in the new bearings and seals while I had the wheels off. Bolted on the new rubber and its ready to go. Not many more things to do on the 230 now.
