Christmas Tree Farm Farmalls

Postby tmays » Wed Dec 08, 2021 11:26 am

What deck were these tractors outfitted with? Did they use different ones? I’ve come across a pic of one with a gravely deck mounted on it. I doubt it was originally this way? Seemed like a good time of year for the question. Lol. Ive seen one at red power roundup with what appears an original deck.

One of the fellows, whose Cub I work on, has a '55 with a 42" Kub Klipper that is used in his Christmas tree farm. The Cub was purchased new and has spent its time on this farm.

I’m pretty sure it was an aftermarket conversion. I’ve only seen it on Super A’s, but I think they were done with C’s also. Here’s a pic of one at rpru in AL

The one I’ve seen, a couple times, I’m thinking was a modified “B”. It belongs to a gentleman in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. It was at Red Power, this year, and at our Chapter 6 state snow in Wauseon, Ohio a couple years ago. I don’t know what deck it had but I think it was similar to the one in Tom’s posted pic.

Using a 30” gravely deck you would need to put a sealed bearing on the input side. Then fab a spline drive
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.
