Apologies if this is the wrong Forum to post in but I need some help with my Manure spreader. As the title says, I think it’s a Farmall or McCormick 100 manure spreader. I need what a tractor mechanic told me is a “dog spring” behind the rear tire? See pics. To me it looks like there should be a bolt of some kind there and possibly a spring but I’m unsure what it should look like. It fell off at some point when transporting. Any help is appreciated! I don’t know much about these things so excuse my ignorance!
File was too big on my phone so I had to upload pics to OneDrive:

Post the pix.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

It looks like you are missing the ratchet pawl and the ratchet stop pawl spring along with a few other things.

About the only way I know is to watch for a junk one come up for sale and buy it. You might check with JP Tractor to see if they have one.

And put a "wanted" in the "Vine" classified section. If you're lucky, a forum member might have a parts spreader. You might check parts numbers and see if the 200 spreader has the same parts. Might be easier to find parts off a 200.

I found this site. They have the pawl and pawl spring. Does that look like what I need?

Will do. I’m honestly not sure if mine is a 100 or 200. How can I tell?

It looks like it should. Keep in mind, you need additional parts as well. You will need to determine what else is missing.

An easy way to tell is by tire size. The 100 uses 5.50 x 16, the 200 uses 7.50 x 20. A picture of the side of the spreader would allow confirmation.
