I have some thing sticking a valve most likely But I dont no which one. When you are moving the cylinder at the rear for the lift the engine speeds up or runs free when the cylinder stops the engine bogs down a bit. This should be just the opposite .
Anyone have any Ideas

Re: Hydraulic problems on a 460 D
Are you talking about when the cylinder stops at the limit of travel or at any intermediate position? If only at the end, you probably have a linkage adjustment problem. If at intermediate points, your pressure control valve is probably the problem.

Re: Hydraulic problems on a 460 D
Jim, thanks for the fast response It is doing it all the time no matter where the cylinder is at. The fluid is getting extremly hot
The floor pan burned my foot it got so hot. I can't here very well and am sure the pump is dead heading. At lest my brother says it it making a noise when the lift is not in motion The engine does die down a bit when the cylinder is not moving. and speeds up when the cylinder is moving. Where is the pressure control vale located at.
Thanks
David

Here is the valve manifold from my 340U. The valve block on the far left is the pressure control valve, next one is the TeleDepth valve to the rear hitch, and the two on the right are the external hydraulic control valves. Your's may look a little different, but the units are the same.
If you decide to go into the pressure control valve, look for the Blue Ribbon Manual GSS-1278, Valves and Systems. The I&T manual has similar info.

The camera is in focus - his valve is out of focus!

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Glad you discovered that crushed screen. Mine looked much the same. More than likely the orifice in the plug base is also clogged or restricted. If that is plugged, the regulator can't drop pressure and the safety valve opens instead.
Sit down before they tell you the price . . . it's about $50. I'd advise changing all the o-rings while you're in there, and flush the passageways to ensure no additional crud and contamination is lodged somewhere.
