Replacing Seats on 350U

Postby dlazyh » Fri Jul 07, 2023 1:25 pm

Curious if anybody can identify the seat back?
This is my 350 utility and as you can see, the seats are pretty bad. Good news, I've got the bottom replaced after these pics were taken, but the seat back, I'm having a tough time finding the right fit. Somewhere along it's history, I'm guessing the tractor had a different seat frame installed. I've ordered from Yesterdays Tractors, (and btw awesome service) a couple of seat backs and neither fit. Closest fit is the 36321R91 which the back mountings are 16.5" apart, but my frame is 17.5" apart. And to clarify, the old seat back wasn't bolted to the back but on the sides. So I'm guessing the seat back isn't OEM, but it came from some other tractor.

I assume you meant 363219R91, which should fit your seat. Maybe your frame is bent. It may have been deliberately bent when the old cushion was installed. It would only need 1/2 on each side, which isn't very much.

Thanks for the reply Jim. The seat frame by the looks of it is factory bent so my only other option would be to make a couple of new brackets with the correct spacing.
I flipped thru Steigers Parts book and it looks like a lot of the seats and frames were a generic build, made to fit several tractor brands but nothing I saw was the old back. And I don't have that anymore either...it got deep 6'd to the dump.
