Hydraulic pump drive
On my '48 h, I am replacing the seal on the shaft that drives it. How do I get the drive deal off of the transmission countershaft on the front. The manual said it is threaded and will screw of, but I tried that and it wont budge either way. Any suggestions? It is part number 68 on Farmall H parts manual page 112.

Re: Hydraulic pump drive
I took a piece of square key stock the same size as the coupling and welded it to an extra socket I had. I then could use my impact. I also set the brakes and put the transmission in gear. It is normal right hand threads, just a booger to break loose sometimes.
