Is there anyway of adjusting the play (slop) of the steering wheel/steering gear? Thanks Dave F.

I've never done this (but should address the same thing on my B) but here are some ideas:
1 Re-clock the sector gear 180º on the splined sector shaft so that a whole different set of teeth (that should be less worn) are engaged when driving straight ahead
2 Re-clock the worm gear 180º on the steering input shaft for the same reason
3 Replace steering U-joint (original part no longer available, search on here as others have found suitable replacements)
4 Replace worn bearings & bushings
5 Remove end-play in the steering input shaft and the sector shaft

I remember this one from an old thread. Would need some holes drilled for pinning in place:

Ooh, Steiner now carries the trunnion (cross bearing) for the Farmall B/BN steering joint. It is pretty cheap too at $18:
