Should I pull the trigger?

Postby Barnyard » Fri Dec 06, 2019 2:38 am

I really don't need thisb but a distant relative is wanting to sell this "M". I have heard it run and it sounds pretty good. The rims are pretty much brand new but the tires are a little old and the front left tire is busted. I have always wanted one since my dad used one on our farm years ago. He is asking $1,000.00 for it but will take $900.00 if I wanted it. My biggest problem is I am currently out of inside storage space.

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

“I have always wanted one since my dad used one on our farm years ago.”

I think there’s your answer :D

Not to mention the price is very fair.

Sounds like 3 of your least favorite cubs (or your truck) will be sitting outside.

You need a reason beyond this?
Seems like you’ve made the most convincing argument for bringing it home. ;)

There were two Oliver Cletrac AG6 crawlers. They had sit a long time. Very difficult to move them onto the huge trailer. The owner used his Farmall "M" to pull them free. Amazing power in this "M" series. Unfortunately, this is old news and many were used in tractor pulls.
While it is interesting to watch tractor pulls, I got a belly full of that. Two really powerful tractors fighting against each other. That was stress beyond the decades of work they could do.
