I have been putting together a collection of all the advertisements that contain anything to do with the Farmall Cub and C tractors. I have the mailer posters that were given away and some unfold to a pretty large poster. My big question is??? What is the best way to preserve these posters for display, I hate unfolding and refolding them all the time. I would like to eventually frame them and hang them in my garage. I have a few posters I have had laminated do to them having several small or even large tears in them. I have heard of shrink wrapping them to stiff cardboard but is laminating the best or am I ruining them. Just looking for thoughts or other ideas.
Thanks

Re: Old Cub Advertising Posters
Jason, My suggestion would be to buy non-acidic poster board from a frame shop, hinge two pieces together and then store the enclosed posters open and flat. If you have a museum nearby, they may have a conservator that can give you expert advice.
