1450 Clutch Safety Mechanism

Postby AL Farmall Boy » Wed Dec 29, 2021 1:02 pm

Were there any problems with the clutch safety switch mechanisms not working properly or breaking? I know many clutch safety switches have been bypassed over the years but figured that was due to a bad switch. Having my 1450 torn down to the bare frame for painting I have noticed that the actuating mechanism seems very weak - thin metal plate that pushes the switch - and it seems as if it is not strong enough to actuate the switch as it bends easily. Now would be a good time to address that if there is a better fix.
