Cub Cadet Hydraulic Valves

Postby Rudi » Fri Jan 26, 2007 8:37 pm

Guys:

I am curious about the Hydraulic Valves on Cub Cadets. I would assume that many of them would be the same.. the image below is typical yes :?: :?:

Image

The question I have, is where to do I find information on these particular valves :?: I need to understand these valves as I am using one for my Hydrualic Modification to my Cub-54 Blade project.

Soooo... who makes it, what model would it be. Where in the Cub Cadet Manuals would I find information on this.. you know all that good type stuff there..

Info is gratefully accepted.. :D

I don't know who made them, and can't tell you much about them other than they are open center, can be found as both single valve and dual valve, and you will only find them on the some of the wide frame, hydrostatic drive Cub Cadets, because they are "powered" from the ported hydro pump of the transmission, and were used for the hydraulic lift. The tractors with hydraulic lift as standard equipment were the 149, some 169's - some had manual lift because of a parts (valve) shortage, and those that did not have the hyd lift, had the ported pump, 1450, 1650, 782 and 982. Hyd lift was also optional on the 129, 1250. Some 1450, 1650, 782, and 982 also had front hyd outlets and would then have the dual control valve. What little information you can find in the manuals will be in the chassis service manuals for the models I listed.

There are also a number of Cub Cadet built by Cub Cadet Corp hat had a hyd system, but I can't tell you much about them.

I don't believe so, there is nothing about one in the limited information in the chassis service manual of the tractors (IH built) the valves were used on. I don't know about the valves in the later models by Cub Cadet Corp. There is an Implement Lift relief valve in the charge pump of the hydrostatic system that controls the lift pressure, and as far as I know the only adjustment to that is to replace the cone and spring if the pressure is not within specs, and I don't believe they are still available. There is a check valve in the valve housing, but there is no adjustment procedures for it. Service for the valve was limited to replacement of O rings basically, the spool and body were replaced as an assembly if damaged.
