Original Rear Tire Sizes

Postby Brandon Webb » Sun Feb 04, 2007 10:51 pm

Did they just offer one size rear rim and tire on the originals? I've looked at some that had a good looking skinny tire and others that had a very wide rear tire. Was the wider sized tires an option or just somebodies fix?

The rear tire size on the original was 6-12. The wider 23-8.50 x 12 did not become an option on Cub Cadets until 1964-65, and then only on the 100. After that they were standard on some models and optional on others. The wider tire on an Original would have been add by a PO.
