Thanks for your reply I may use the POR 15 hardnose paint product, if you never heard of this paint it does an excellent job

I like the looks of your darker yellow and the front grill mount yellow

and POR 15 now makes a UV paint in dark yellow (hardnose) and if I change my mind I can always paint over it with the right colors, just don't see why when I plan to keep it
I have a loader on it and just put duals on the back with 120lbs of cub weights and lug tires
It was incredible with only a singe set of lugs, tru power makes a great lug
Just like to have no problems with it tipping with a load. 300lbs also in the rear box

On the Cub Cadet white (and the bigger Farmall's too), there were 3 different shades of IH white used over the years, 901, 902, and 935, and all three were used on Cub Cadets. You can use what ever you want on your tractor, but the "almond shade" IH white, 935, that several different stores now carry (including Case IH) is the last shade that was used by IH, and is not correct for the early model Cub Cadets. 901 white was used untill Nov 1967, then 902 untill Feb 1971, and then 935 untill IH stopped production (and later).

Gilles,
The original is the only cub cadet model to utilize the short belt from the engine to drive the drive shaft. In the 70 / 100 tractors, the frame was modified to allow the engine to mount lower between the frame rails, and allow the engine to bolt directly to the drive shaft. All of the Cub Cadet tractors from the 70/100 forward utilized the same setup, where the drive shaft bolted directly to the engine flywheel.

Also, the front grill casting was different for the 70 / 100 than the original, and it has a headlight panel at the top, where the original was all mesh, and the headlights were bolted onto brackets on the outside of the grill casting.

So, there were several differences, even though the basic tractors look very similar..

http://www.ihcubcadet.com is a great website for pictures of original and early Cub Cadets. It is also a good resource for lots of things like decals and paint differences.

First, welcome 109.
You have to register your profile so we know were you are located.
You can read the "how to" post the picture. Than, go to the sandbox to try
out and I will watch and tell you what you do wrong . Here is an idea, when you write a post, look up and find Img. Click on it, it will appear on your post, than you paste the URL of your picture and click on it again,to
close the parenthesis. It will look like this.and the image will appear. But first, your pictures have to imported in the Cubfest Host.It is a bit complicate for the first time, You can send me your pictures by email and I will post it for you.
