CC Dozer???

Postby Bill Hudson » Tue Oct 04, 2016 12:57 pm

I've seen pics of a one-off custom made CC dozer, however, today someone assured me that CC actually made a dozer. Is this correct or a figment of his imagination? ---- Or mine?

Was it this one? http://www.ihcubcadet.com/BobsPage/crawler100.htm

I don't think they ever made a factory one.

No, I don't think so. He asked if I knew what Cletrac was and I said yes. He referred to the small Cletrac dozers and said that CC made one, too. I proceeded to look over my glasses, raised eyebrows with a healthy bit of skepticism. He claims to have pics to prove it. I'll wait for them to appear.

sounds good to me. Maybe it was some sort of a prototype ? If CC had made one, the information would already be here. It wouldn't be a secret that has just came out. I'm intrested to see what is brought forth.

If he produces pictures with genuine IH documentation I'd like to see it. I've been involved in the other IH forums for a long time, although not active for a number of years due to family issues, and none of the guys who actually worked for IH never talked about CC making one. And they would have been all over it.
There was a guy that made an outstanding home built CC dozer, I think his name was Dan something. If I remember correctly he is a machinist and also built a 4x4 CC.
I've researched CC from the beginning of the line, thanks to the CC illness lol, not once did a dozer ever come up in documentation other than the dozer blade for the CC. At one time I had ALL of the information concerning CC and every option or after market implement available for them but I built a new PC and the new HDD went south 2 months later and I lost it all. Now I'm going to limit it to what I currently have instead of going all obsessed again.
Just now getting back into CC with another 102.

Didn't realize the date seems I haven't spent much time on this site in a while. Oh well, guess there's probably a few threads that I responded to that have died.

Pics never have been produced. I'm not surprised.

Regardless of who built it (if it exists) it would be really nice to see! Keep working on that guy Bill!

Here is the crawler that most people refer to when they think that Cub Cadet actually built it:

Image

This was built by Dan Hoefler, many years ago. Dan is a master machinist, and built this over a several year period. It is absolutely beautiful, and amazing craftsmanship, likely better than anything that ever went into the original Cub Cadets from the factory. Nevertheless, it is a one of a kind unit. He also built a 4x4 Cub Cadet and several other Cub Cadet creations.

Here is more info on his tractors. http://www.ihcubcadet.com/BobsPage/crawler100.htm
