I have someone in Australia who would like to pay me for a part using PayPal. I do have a PayPal account, but have only used it to pay for my own purchases, using an American Express CREDIT card.
My question is, can the payment he makes be sent and then credited to my American Express card? Or does it have to go into my bank with either a DEBIT card or direct routing? I prefer to NOT link my bank into my PayPal account.
I am waiting now for PayPal to answer my query, but figured you guys might have the answer! Thanks.

Re: PayPal question
I'm not sure on the other methods as I have my paypal account connected to my checking account, but you could just keep the money in your paypal account and use it towards your next purchase of something.

They will also send you a check for a $1.50 fee.

Re: PayPal question
Wise decision not to connect to your bank account. I will admit it is convenient to do so. Mine was connected. I bought and sold on eBay until ebay ticked me off and I cancelled my account. Kept the PayPal because it was convenient for other payments. Went to buy breakfast one morning, and my bank account was empty!!!! PayPal transferred $1,000 to my PayPal account. And there was nothing I could do!!!! Did not have access to it in my PayPal balance. Call after call after call and nothing done. I had to wait for it to become available and transfer it back to my bank account. My fear was that when it became available, that it would disappear who knows where. Luckily, that did not happen. And I cancelled my PayPal account immediately. And no, I did not authorize that original transfer
