Cutting grass with a green thing
Well after 16 years of push mowing my 2 1/2 acres....I bought a green thing...My antique tractors [Farmalls] ain't real happy....Its small ,green and noisy!!!Plus they have to share space with it...My Bikes don't seem to mind it...They figure I'll get more time with them...Says its a LA115..42" cut 19hp single popper...and best of all...lever engagement!!!! I hate them eletric PTO's.....got a great deal on it...My buddy said it was takin up space in his garage....Kevin

Wow, 2 1/2 acres with a push mower. I bet your feet are going to love the John Deere also.

And it is not flat. Slopes in, at least, three directions. And Ketcham always kept it looking nice.

It's hard to do a good job with a green machine. Driving with a bag over my head, so the neighbors wouldn't recognize me, causes some skips.

Kill the grass and turn it over a year early. Keep it grass and weed free for a year before planting. This will give you some time to get soil tests done and amend the soil as needed for garden use.
