Since we moved here 19 years ago I have always wanted to hide the well casing sticking out of the ground in our front yard. After finding a good dear on some used retaining blocks and picking up a chainsaw carved bear, I finally took action.

I cut a fourteen-inch section off a fifty-five gallon barrel, painted it black and placed it over the well cap. Then installed the block and back filled with soil. I put the bear on the barrel and Rosanne picked out some plants she liked. If we ever have a well problem, I can cut the top off the barrel to access the cap. I can then replace the top.

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

The house is 34 years old so I think it is original.
