easy fruit cobbler

1 stick of butter
1 box vanilla cake mix
fresh or frozen fruit

grease the bottom of a casserole dish with butter, put the fruit in the casserole dish, then melt the butter and mix it with the cake mix. cover the fruit with the cake/butter mix and bake on 325 until the fruit is bubbly and the top is gold. approximately 35-45 min

We also make this kind in a dutch oven on the hot coals while camping. I like apple or peach.

That's pretty much the way we did it in scouts, and that's how dad and I still do it. Hard to beat ! And a scoop of vanilla ice cream.........cant beat the simple things :D

Yup Phil, that's almost exactly how we did it. We just threw in some extra cinnamon and cooked in a dutch oven. Cast iron is the only way to do it :lol: :lol: Mr Roy, you aint kidding !
