The rock. Family farm was in west central Iowa, glacial moraine topography. Every spring we would pick up rocks worked out of the soil by the frost and using a skid, haul to the ditches. One spring a big rock popped up. Digging, digging, more digging, turned out to be about 6 foot in diameter. Finally got the rock rolled out of the hole and pushed to the ditch with the neighbor's loader tractor.
