lowest price I ever paid for a tractor with the exception of an international I9 I got 40+ years ago for $400
looking forward to picking this thing up that I won on an online auction. its about hour and half away.
I might be mistaken but these low boys seem like the ideal mowing machines for many acres which is what I have.
this one even has an original heavy duty brush guard on the front.
I'll post pictures when I get it home.

Re: another new 154 owner
If your needs are for grass mowing (open areas, like a golf course, etc.) you will probably be OK with its performance. The Number Series was originally designed for large scale estate type mowing but not brush cutting. There are some features in the design that were an improvement on the offset LoBoy but virtually no change to the drive train. It's still the C60 engine and 3 speed transmission (early models had the same fuel delivery system as FCubs). Someone on the forum has posted in their tag line "When you only have 10 ponies, you need to know the name of each one (or something like that)". Hope you have great success with yours. JMHO Stan
