lo boy hard steering
My 154 has been sitting for a few years and after getting it ready for a PTO clutch rebuild I found it very hard to steer its not the front axl I think the steering box what would cause this and how do I remedy it thank you all for your help

To remove the Ross type steering sector. Remove the mower deck. Remove the steering wheel. Jack up the tractor. Unbolt the steering sector and remove. Sector comes out the bottom.
Search the internet for instructions on repairs. And, PS, make all adjustments and repairs on the bench.

Perhaps it just needs some lubrication? There should be a grease zerk on the bottom of the steering box. If grease is too thick, I think there is a fill plug where a heavy oil could be added (but would likely leak around the seals)
