Before you pull the carb off you could try removing the main jet from the bottom of the carb and cleaning it. Takes a 1/2" wrench and a piece of thin wire. This is a pretty common problem with cubs. the fuel system is "old schiool" and does not use a modern fuel filter. I retrofited my 184 and a couple other guys cubs with a lawnmower type fuel filter and it cured all the problems with having to clean the main jet 3 or 4 times a year. If it idles fine but only runs with partial choke at full throttle it usually means the main jet needs cleaned. Check the sediment bowl too.
