I have a loboy fast hitch for sale and a local guy came to look at it and said i don't know how this would fit my loboy. Well after a short discussion found out he has a 154 loboy. I told him it wouldn't fit and after he left I wonder if anyone had convert one to the number series.I'm sure it would not be an EZ conversion but I know you guys are always trying different things so has anyone actually done this. If so I'm sure some photos would be interesting to some folks that might want to try it.

Re: loboy fasthitch conversion
Knowing how the regular Cub and LoBoy touch control is setup, and how the number series touch control is setup, I do not see how it could be done realistically. The touch control and rockshaft on the standard Cub and Lo Boy are mounted high, just under the hood, so the rockshaft actuating arms allow the fast hitch to be lifted from the top.
On a number series Lo Boy, the touch control and rockshaft are mounted under the belly of the tractor, just in front of the footrests, so there's no way to lift the fast hitch even if you could get it mounted.
However, on a number series Lo Boy with a 3-point hitch, there is a rear hydraulic cylinder that could likely be rigged to rotate the rockshaft for the fast hitch, assuming you could get the hitch mounted to the tractor.
Now to mounting the hitch. I believe the center location of the transmission between the final drives, and the frame of the number series Lo Boy tractors would both be in the way of the front portion of the fast hitch, so I don't think it would ever raise completely if you could get it mounted.
Now, assuming you could work through both of those issues with a torch and a welder, the last question would be "Why?" The number series tractors were offered with standard Cat 1 3-point hitch, which has much more versatility than a fast hitch, so why would you ever want to mount a fast hitch on a number series????
So, thinking through that, if you had a 3-point hitch, wouldn't you just make an adaptor for it if you wanted to use a fast hitch implement that you may already have for another cub??? May look something like this with a fast hitch socket instead of a Reese hitch socket.

Re: loboy fasthitch conversion
Thanks for your replies Bill. It probably wouldn't be worth the effort you would have to put into a project like this. It just got me thinking and wondered if it had done before. I already have a 3pt on my 184 so this project wouldn't be for me but some guys who don't have the 3pt on their number series and can't afford to buy the 3pt system but may have access to the less expensive loboy fasthitch.
I do like your idea about rigging up a fast hitch receiver for the 3pt system and will probably make one up at some point.
Thanks, Kirk
