going to Christmas parade
Potosi had their night time Christmas parade on Dec. 19 this year. My tractor and small trailer for kids to ride in were all decorated with lights, the inverter and spare battery tested for run time, and all was ready to go.We had had a good bit of snow and ice, which is unusual for this time of year, but roads were clear. As I stood there looking things over, I thought about the snow and ice still frozen to the trailer. I could run the tractor right out of the shed and onto the trailer at home, but when I loaded to return I would have snow on the wheels to climb the steel ladder ramps, and even if I left the chains on that would still be dicey. Reluctantly I called the kids that were planning to ride and told them I would not be going, then began the tear down getting my tractor ready to plow snow again. Even though the kids really like riding in the parade, almost as much as I enjoy it, it was not worth risking my life loading and unloading that tractor and trailer

Sad you had to do that but really smart. At least you tried.

Re: going to Christmas parade
I agree… you did the right thing. We have tilt bed trailers and they are really bad with snow, mud, ice and ect. on the tractor tires. If we can’t wench the tractor on it gets driven to where it has to go and if that can’t be done it stays. Safety first!
