Re: Garden PicsThat's some fine looking soil you got there - and it will grow cubs? Gotta love it!

Re: Garden PicsThe 154 is just sitting there for effect, it belongs in the dirt. As for the soil, I've had a garden there for 22+ years, and have never found a rock that bigger than a golf ball, and only a few of those.

Re: Garden PicsWell, the drought finally ended with .8 of rain in a nice 15 hour soaker. we still need a lot more, but things are starting to grow again. You'll notice about 90% of my garden is pumpkins. All my neighbors have kids, grand kids and great grandkids, so I load up trailers and give them away to the neighbor kids. I think it's a good thing to do. Here's todays pics.

Re: Garden PicsYou guys are making me jealous. I'd show some fresh pics, but their not much different looking than the last ones. We haven't had any rain since I took those pics, and not much before that. The farmers are definately going to lose some this year. There is a chance of rain every day next week, so all I can do is hope and look at all your nice gardens. They look great by they way.

Re: Garden PicsFinally got some much needed rain last night-1.2 inches. I cultivated the whole garden yesterday against the asvise of my farmer friends. They said I'd lose what little moisture I had left, but it looked like a dust bowl when I was working out there. I only went down 2 inches to kill the weeds and found zero moisture. From news reports rain looked promising for last night and for once they were right. Some more wouldn't hurt.

Re: Garden PicsWell, It's time to show this weeks pics of my garden. Things are growing, but slow. Corn is tassled and ears are shooting fast. It's thundering as I write this, so I'm hoping for more rain, aren't we all?.

Re: Garden PicsIt's time for my weekly pics. The weather has been high 90's to 100+ this week but I did get .7 inches of rain. I'll take anything for rain right now. The garden seems to be doing real well though.
