Fork truck mover

I was ask to fabricate a fork truck trailer mover. Well I went to the Indiana Task Force to look at theirs. They use 1/4 steel they move heavier trailer full of their equipment.
Well I used 3/16 steel. I worked out great. Everyone like the hitch.

Have a 3-point mounted trailer hitch. Home built, so heavy that I have to walk it one side at a time to mount it on a tractor.

Son has been talking about making a trailer hitch for mounting/attaching to the front of the skidsteer.

I'm thinking something along the line of the hitch recently posted by Bill (Barnyard). Drop off the forks or bucket and attach the trailer hitch. The design posted by Jeff has it's advantages.

Will show son both posts, see what he thinks. We are good at borrowing other people's ideas.

I would suggest a safety chain on the back attached to the forklift. You don't want that slipping off and a trailer being out of control. Looks goods though!

Would be some extra security, but it appears there is a pin going through each fork to hold it.

Looks like a threaded T-handle to me that just pinches it. The bottom picture has it jacked up off the fork from the T-handle pressure. If the trailer has enough tongue weight it will flex or bend that tubing enough for it to slide off even if it is 3/16" thick.
