Thomas:
Nice pics of wildlife. Real nice property. Are those Mule Deer? I don't get to see too many varieties of deer.. they don't look like white tails.. and they do have huge ears....
Nice owl and fox.....
We have the occassional deer we see our back yard, although deer track is very common to see as I walk my property.. same with rabbit, coyote, fox.. we have hawks, eagles, falcons and Bald Eagles as well as owls and other hunters.. Not too many bear in the last few years though.

I don't remeber that, but that is a big bear I have seen many big ones, almost as tall as my brothers mustang.... we had a baby moose that got eaten about 100' from the house, that's why we shoot once in a while, and have some guns.....

Let me recall for you the story of the 400lb black bear in my back yard, when I lived in town.
About 7 years ago, I was setting out pepper plants in late May. Now, once I get down on my hands and knees, I tend to remain there until the job is finished, as I'm sure EJP can appreciate. It was a chilly day, so I had been wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, hood up, and my usual black jeans.
I saw the cars slowing down around the turn in front of my house, but, not being very interested in the actions of others, I assumed that there was some sort of parking problem that was bottlenecking the traffic on Main St. as was common.
The next day, the phone calls began. People I barely knew calling to ask if I had seen the large black bear in my back yard, and what I had done with it. After several such phone calls, the answer to the riddle became apparent. The large black bear had been me, crawling about, planting my peppers.
Remind me, Johnny, never to do any garden work for you, with all your guns and shooting, and I'll promise not to eat your goats and sheep.
