He is kind of optimistic on the price isn't he Eugene? Must be hoping for big insurance claim or to take a loss on taxes.

I just provided the figure printed in the paper. Seems high to me also. Could be a miss print. I just don't know.

Next time you visit me, I will take you down the road about 1/2 mile to a white tail deer farm. The elk farm is just west of Linn.

The owners of the white tail deer farm and elk farm are local farmers. Nobody famous living in the area. We do have a number of infamous characters in the area.

I did additional research on the process of obtaining permits to hunt elk in Arkansas. This is the info which I got for 2006. The names of 18 applicants for permits were drawn from the 7000 who applied. These 18 received elk hunting permits with, I believe, no additional monetary charge. IN ADDITION, TWO HUNTERS WON PERMITS THROUGH THE ROCKY MOUNTAIN ELK FOUNDATION FUND RAISING ACTIVITY. I now believe that it is those permits which were so expensive, not the 18 from Arkansas Game and Fish Commision. My mistake. Dan
