Wedding Anniversary

Postby jim turner » Thu Nov 16, 2006 7:26 pm

My wife and I are about to celebrate our 41st anniversary, and we love creyfish not spiced just fried in a batter, several years ago we went to Shreveport La and had some at a place called Cado's in Bossier City. We want to head down that way this Sunday, so what I need is do someone know where to get crfeyfish non spiced at a good restraunt. Thanks

Congratulations, Jim and Mrs. Turner!!!!!

I don't know where to get non-spicy crayfish. Years ago we ordered crayfish in a bucket at The Bicycle Club in Memphis. I didn't really like them that much. And I certainly did not suck on their heads! God bless you and the Mrs. on your 41st Anniversary and I know that someone on the board will be able to help you out.

Congratulations Jim and Mrs. Jim. :D I hope you can find mud bugs. :{_}::{_}::{_}:

We're thinking about a quiet celebration too. One month from today will mark 50 years that Marilyn has put up with me. I think we'll probably stick it out. :D She deserves a nice dinner out along with the rest of our extended family. We'll see what turns up.

Congrats Jim, and Mrs Jim......

My wife died on me a month short of 10 years....I often wonder what things would have been like if she hadn't taken sick......

I like crawdads that way too....If I lived closer, I'd make 'em for ya.....

Best wishes...

Tom

Congratulations Jim. I was married to the first one 25 years and 3 days. This one 20 years. I would like to have 20 thousand more with her, but with her health problems, one more will be a stretch. I'm not sure about Cados, but down here you would be hard pressed to find any crawdads at all this time of year. All the ones we buy are seasoned pretty good too. When we boil a few sacks, we usually boil a sack that is less seasoned for the ones that don't like them hot, and the rest we season enough that they will scorch your tongue. Crayfish is a season food and they are out of season right now. Some places may freeze some for this time of year though. How far south are you coming?

I was going to brag about 21 years.....but I see we're just getting started. 8) I'm not seeing it listed on any of Shreveport's web sites, possible it's still there under another name. You can get the fried crawfish tails at most any seafood restaurant down here, but they're the frozen kind..........maybe from China. Spring time is the best time.
Congrats on 40 years!! 8) 8)

George:

Congratulations to you and Marilyn. I do hope I remember on the 16th.... and I hope you both have a wonderful anniversary :!:

50 years is a great gift to each other. It is also something not many people will manage in the future. Marriage is pretty special, and it is for special people. When Em's Mom and Dad had their 50th, the family threw a great night for them. It was wonderful. Mostly extended family and life-time friends.

I hope that Em and I will manage to make 50... but that is more a health concern than anything else. This March during Texas Tumble time, Em and I will make it half way there. It will be our 25th.. which is 15 more than they told us we would have.

My heart is with both you and Marilyn, and I hope you both have many, many years left with each other.
