2001 Dodge Grand Caravan fuel question

Postby Hengy » Fri Feb 02, 2007 5:12 pm

Hey there all...

I have searched and searched the www today, and cannot find the answer to my question, so I thought I would come to my friends on Farmallcub.com for the true skinny.

My wife and I are looking at a 2001 Grand Caravan with decently mileage on it at the right price. I have been trying to find out whether the 2001's were able to run E85 or whether that didn't start until 2002 models which I know can run E85. It is not a dealbreaker for us by any means, but I am still curious!

Do any of you folks have a 2001? How do you like it?

Thanks for your help!

Mike, try this link:

http://autorepair.about.com/od/enginefuel/a/111705.htm

They list the following Chyrsler vehicles as compatible for E85:

Chrysler 3.3 liter Voyager minivan
Dodge 3.3 liter Caravan minivan

From my past research for a new truck, I have found that the smaller V6 & some small V8's will run E85. My '02 Chevy can't but it has a 6.0 V8, but if I opted for the small V8 it can run E85.

Hope this helps, Mike Duncan
